Bridge The Gap!

Following up from a successful project in Headless Cross, PCSO Gemma Bosco-Woods has brought “Bridge the Gap” to Church Hill.

Joining teenage students with members of the over 65 community on a one to one basis in a relaxed setting was the idea from Gemma to break down barriers between the communities and build relationships.

She approached Church Hill Middle School who were keen to take part and also approached Rev. Ruth Fry from St Andrews Church to take part with members of the Church congregation.

Gemma said “I think its important for all members of the community to see how others see life and and respect each others outlooks. Its great to see how much they have to talk about and what experiences/hobbies they have in common”

The project has received great feedback and all involved said they would take part again.

Gemma will be running it with Church Hill Middle again in the Autumn term.
